As everyone who follows our blog knows, we find the controversy over the Davis-Bacon Act to be fascinating – and, as with most good controversy, to be either completely offbase or dead on the money depending upon which side of the argument you tend to agree with… With that in mind, we wanted to make sure that you’d had a chance to see the latest blog post by James Sherk, one of our favorite Davis-Bacon Act critics.

The testimony is a direct assault on the accuracy of Labor Department wage sampling methodology. More specifically, it is a rebuttal to claims made that such criticism of Labor Department practices is unwarranted. It’s a little confusing, since this is a rebuttal post, it still makes for a fascinating read. And, whether you agree with him or not, Mr Sherk does make a compelling argument for the DOL switching to a more scientifically accurate sampling method.
