As the employment picture grows grimmer, and the inevitable hyperbolic war on “evil corporations” heats up, it’s important to remember that there are A LOT of companies out there who are looking out for their employees – even when the company has to temporarily furlough employees.

As a case in point, our consultants frequently get contacted by employers who are facing disruptions in their operations. Maybe it’s because of a seasonal workstoppage. Maybe it’s because they need to retool a factory. In every case, these employers are looking for ways help. Which is why employers are attracted to our supplemental unemploymental benefit plan.

Sure, employers are attracted to the potential that our SUB plan offers for payroll tax and workers compensation relief – and that really is a huge benefit for employers. But, we can speak from some experience with all-kinds of employers when we say it’s just as important to them (if not more so!) that their employees not only feel like they’re getting a good employee benefit… but that their employees feel like their employer is looking out for their best interests! And that is why we believe our SUB plan is so popular.

And that’s the whole point of today’s post – in these uncertain economic times, we could all benefit from a little reminder that people are still looking out for others. And that’s a pretty good thing to remember!
