A few days ago, we saw this posting on dailykos with an update on Nevada measure A.B. 312 – an attempt to revise (or dismantle, depending upon your perspective) Nevada’s Prevailing Wage laws. We found it particularly interesting because, despite persistent high unemployment in the state, the Republican argument for cutting public works wages as a means of stimulus clearly failed to gain traction… at least in this instance. It will be interesting to see how this issue plays out in other states – particularly those which are more consistently conservative than Nevada.
