California Prevailing Wage Law Compliance
The service component that gives CPWIS’ recommendations form and substance is what principal and partner, Kimberley Tobin, refers to as “Accounting Integration”. More than one of our clients has been amazed that there is NO ADDITIONAL CHARGE for this service.

A very important part of the sales process involves presenting complicated material in such a fashion that it can be understood. Understanding leads to an ability to make good decisions. However, sales presentations by benefit professionals, as good as they are, more often than not, are not followed by discussion and instruction on how these complex programs are integrated into accounting systems and administered.

Kimberley has two very unique pieces of experience that allow her to be of valuable service to prevailing wage contractors.

The first experience component was working on the installation and training team for a software company that integrated the accounting systems, as well as, complete office functions of insurance agencies. This experience gave her the ability to understand how accounting systems function, how data is input, stored and tracked.

Upon completing her BA in Business Administration, Kimberley soon worked for a prevailing wage contractor supervising their accounting and payroll administration. This experience gave her a background in certified payroll and a knowledge base in prevailing wage compliance issues.

This dual background in accounting systems and prevailing wage compliance has enabled Kimberley to be of remarkable service to our prevailing wage clients. Many of our clients have been very surprised and delighted, because of her ability to be of assistance in these two critical areas of prevailing wage administration. Her ongoing experience with issues surrounding the payment of a prevailing wage has allowed Kimberley to become a resource that is practically without parallel among the advisors that serve prevailing wage contractors.

Our goal is always one of removing the fringe portion of the prevailing wage from payroll and getting it into benefits that make sense. This is due to the high cost of paying fringes in cash. With this emphasis assisting payroll managers and human resources personnel is essential to the ongoing service we provide. Benefits we touted in the sales cycle will never be realized, if the individuals charged with administering the plans we promote do not understand what is involved, and how to administer them. We are committed to not letting that happen.

Kimberley’s outstanding contribution makes sure that the cost savings we project are always implemented and administrated efficiently.
